All of us need privacy to avoid being tracked by goverments or companies, especially when we are in a darknet market and there are some actions we can take to hide our internet traffic from them. Although there are different ways to achieve this we are going to speak about one of the most common and easy methods, a VPN.
What is a VPN?
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) establishes a secure tunnel between you and a private network through the Internet. This private network can be located in any place of the world so when your computer is connected using this service your real IP and location will be hidden and the virtual one will be shown to everybody.
Similarly, all the data received and sent will not be related to you unless you want to. You will stay anonymous as long as you don't disclose your real identity by logging in to facebook or writing your real name somewhere.
VPN is useful, not to say mandatory, when your are connected to public networks that you may find in airports or coffee shops. In this places the risks increase exponentially, any person that is connected to the same network is able to steal your data without being an experimented hacker.
Which VPN should you use?
There are two types of VPN: paid and free. In this case we dont recommend the free VPN services because normally they dont take much care of your privacy and the connections are very unstable. For paid VPN services the prices use to be between 6-12 USD/month depending on which service do you choose and of course it is not a high price for your security. There are some VPN providers that allow you to pay with Bitcoin like ExpressVPN or IPVANISH
